Conference Presenter
It is my professional responsibility to continuously develop my knowledge of teaching, learning, pedagogy, and educational philosophy. Through professional reading, collaboration with others in the field, digital networking with online communities, and course work, I can remain up to date on effective instructional practices and integration of tools and services allowing me to contribute to my classroom, building, district, and professional community.
Presentations:
I have always felt that it is important to attend professional conferences, and have attended IRC and our district’s annual literacy conference annually. Conferences are an effective way to share ideas, collaborate, make professional connections, find inspiration, and problem solve.
In the past, I have contributed to my professional community by presenting and co-presenting at several local and national conferences. I have been honored to design and share sessions about digital literacy, digital books clubs, and digital storytelling for organizations like ICE, EdCamp, IETC, IRC, ISTE, iEngage Berwyn, and ETT. This has been a positive way of sharing my commitment to digital literacy and the integration of educational technology as an instructional structure.
I have given presentations at professional conferences on the following topics:
Digital Book Clubs
LitFit: Refreshing Workshop
Digital Storytelling: Share your Voice
Digital Presentation Tools
TED: Using TED's Philosophy in the Classroom
Research with Google Apps
I have participated in Ignite Sessions on the following topics:
Google Classroom
Digital Workflow
Transitioning to a digital classroom
Teacher iPads 101
